I see it’s been just about a year since I posted here last and it was right after my grandmother, Carmela passed away. I was so happy to schedule a channeling session with you last week, it was amazing! As I told you, it has been a very difficult year for my family and me. My stepfather Alex passed away December 2008, my grandmother March 2009 and then my godfather, Tony passed away January 2010.

It was very comforting that all three of them came through the channeling session, as did my grandfather, aunts, uncles, my other grandmother, my father and brother. It was like a family reunion. You and I got quite a few chuckles with my two grandmothers and Aunt Rose. I was so excited to know that my grandmother acknowledged our presence while she was on hospice, the fact that my sister gave her a manicure before she passed and that she is happy to be with my grandfather, Alex, Uncle Tony and her siblings.

Remember you kept mentioning Dorothy and that my grandmother was at my 50th birthday party (in spirit), well my birthday cake had Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (my favorite movie) and she and my aunt kept making reference to Dorothy and having to get back to Kansas. You also commented that my father was going to tuck me in that night. Well, after we spoke, I went to lay on the couch to watch some tv when I realized that the “snuggy” blanket that I put on (that my kids gave me for Christmas) was a Wizard of Oz theme with Dorothy, etc printed on the blanket.

As the one year anniversary of my grandmother’s passing is almost here (3/31), I really thought the next few weeks were going to be very tough emotionally. I really miss her. But at almost 98 years old, I was so relieved to know that she is in a happy place with her family and am blessed to know that she is around me. She also reminded me that her birthday is June 3rd (always a big deal to her) and she would have been 99 years old. I told her that we would have a party and celebrate her birthday, and she was sure to tell me what kind of birthday cake she wanted, strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream. Don’t worry grandma, we won’t let you down – we are going to celebrate her life and all the love and joy she brought us.

One other thing I wanted to mention was about my godfather, my Uncle Tony. He passed a few days after my birthday and you mentioned that after he passed that you saw a little girl around him, but she was alive. After my channeling session, I was telling my mother everything we discussed and she said that my uncle’s granddaughter Emily is about 8 years old and appears to be very sensitive. After my uncle died, Emily said that her grandpa came to her and told her to tell everyone that he was happy and to give them a kiss for him. I believe Emily is the little girl you saw around him. They were very close, and she has commented that he has come around a few times.

I’m so glad you’re channeling again and I would highly recommend anyone who would like to reach out to their loved ones, that this is a wonderful experience – one that I cherish. Last year in April my sister Lynn and I attended a weekend event you had at the Bedford. We all had gone out to dinner and met up in the lounge of the Ebbit Room. I was sitting next to you and you commented that there was a man standing behind me holding a cake. I told you that it was my grandfather’s birthday that day and my sister and I were very happy to know that he was with us.

You had also done a reading for me that weekend and we talked about my grandmother who was going on 97 years old. I commented that she couldn’t understand why she was still here and wanted to be with my grandfather and her sisters and brother. Her sister Rose came through and commented that “they were enjoying the peace and quiet” and knowing my aunt’s sense of humor, we got a chuckle out of her comment.

Almost two weeks ago, my grandmother passed away, she is finally with my grandfather and we were very happy for her. When my mother and I left the hospital’s Hospice unit in Florida, we passed a car and the license plate on it said “Ray”, which is my grandfather’s nickname. I took it as a sign that he is with her and we don’t have to worry about her, he will take care of her now. We planned the funeral and it turned out that the viewing took place on my grandfather’s birthday, April 5th – one year after you told us he was with my sister and I. It was very comforting to us the way the date fell on his birthday because before she passed, we told her that my grandfather was waiting to take her dancing in heaven.

I am hoping that one day soon she communicates to me through you so that I know she is happy and where she wants to be, with my grandfather. Carmelo and Carmela are finally together.
